Every gameplay will have a referee to officiate the game. By participating you agree to the rules below as well as the disclaimer.

Tournament Games Duration:

Each game will last for a total of 2 minutes or until a player scores 11 points, whichever comes first. There will be a running clock.

Championship Game Duration:

The championship game will take place in Las Vegas, July 2024. The game total time will last 10 minutes (Two 5 min halves)

Points:

You only have 3 dribbles to get your shot off. A layup is 1 point, a jump shot inside the arc is 2 points. Every shot beyond the arc (3-point line) is 4 points. If player misses the 3 point shot, then the opposing player can follow up the play without clearing the ball for a score of 1-2 points.

Fouls:

Touch fouls will not be called, however blatant flagrant fouls will not be tolerated. A player creating a blatant flagrant foul will be ejected from a game and removed from the competition.

Starting Play:

A coin flip determines who starts with the ball. The winner of the coin flip can choose to start with the ball or defend.

Possession Change:

The opponent takes possession of the ball after each scored basket. No "make it, take it" rule.

Ball Clearance:

There is no clearance beyond the arc after a missed shot. Opponent can rebound and put back the shot for single point or two points. Only clearance is after a made basket, or turnover. Failing to clear the ball on a made basket or turnover results in a turnover.

Shot Clock:

The 3 dribble rule acts as a the shot clock. A five second rule will be applied to any player holding the ball without dribbling.

After The Game:

The 1st two rounds will be double elimination. The losing player from Round 1 will play 1 more time in Round 2. The winners will advance to the 3rd round. The losing player will play 1 more time in Round 2.

Tiebreaker:

A 2-minute overtime is played. The player who didn't start the game with the ball in regular time starts with the ball in overtime.

General Behavior:

Unsportsmanlike conduct, including arguing with referees or opponents, can result in technical fouls or ejection from the game/tournament.Respect, fairness, and sportsmanship are expected from all participants.

-24 months workout video training. (Valued at $3600)

OTHER PRIZES & OPPORTUNITIES

All Players:

-Everyone who participates in the tournament will have access to NIL Deal Opportunities.

-All Players will also receive 3 months of free video basketball training from players, coaches and scouts valued at $450, which covers the cost of entry.

Youth/Young Adults Only (Ages 7-20):

-The top players will have the exclusive opportunity for an athletic scholarship.

Adults Only (Ages 21+):

-The top players will have the exclusive opportunity to attend Coach Weasel's Official Camp to further their basketball career.

What is the 2HotSports Get Buckets 1-on-1 Tournament?

A new annual nationwide competition for players ages 7 and up. All players have an opportunity to be seen by NBA/WNBA Scouts and get access to NIL Deals.

Where will the tournaments take place?

All tournament games will be played in indoors gyms across the country with the Grand Finale taking place in Las Vegas, NV during NBA Summer League (See tab above for "Cities / Dates / Fees")

What does the champion of the tournament receive?

The champion from each age & gender category will receive n Elite Training Workout Session with Coach Weasel in front of NBA/WNBA coaches and or Scouts. (See tab above for full list of "Prizes")

Will other top performers from the Tournament be honored?

Yes. All participants will have the opportunity for scholarships, NIL Deals, and training. (See tab above for full list of "Prizes")

How will match-ups be determined?

Players will be divided into age and gender categories, then matched up randomly. (See tab above for "Ages & Categories")

What is the cost to participate?

$120-150 per player based on selected payment arrangement.

Can I pay at the Tournament?

No all fees must be paid in advance by the due dates.

How can purchase tickets to watch the Tournament?

Tickets will be on sale on 2HotRadio.com closer to each event. Be sure to check regularly, to see if tickets are on sale for your city.

Do I need a copy of their license or birth certificate in order to register?

While it's not mandatory to submit a license or birth certificate at the time of registration, we strongly recommend carrying a valid form of identification to the tournament. This helps to quickly resolve any inquiries regarding age, ensuring that all participants are competing in the appropriate category and maintaining the integrity of our age-based divisions. We strive for a fair competition for all, and having proof of age on hand helps to uphold this standard.

How did the name 2HotSports originate?

2HotSports is a sister brand of 2HotRadio & 2HotTickets. We have a digital radio station and app (2HotRadio) and a full service ticketing website (2HotTickets.com)

Are you affiliated with the NBA/WNBA?

We are an official third party ticket affiliate for the NBA, WNBA and other live events companies and sports agencies such as the NFL, MLB, Live Nation, Disney & more. We also host events where NBA/WNBA scouts attend, such as Coach Weasel.

What if there’s a waiting list for a Tournament?

Once the list is full, payments will no longer be accepted, and you'll be able to add your name to the waiting list. If payment is still available, then space for the tournament is still available.

What paperwork must I complete in order for myself or my child to participate in your program?

Everyone will need to sign a waiver upon entry. Those under 18 will need a Parent/Guardian.

Can I register multiple players/multiple cities?

Yes you can register as many players as you want and participate in as many tournaments as you want.

What is the exact venue for each city?

The venue will be provided to those who have registered and paid closer to the event. Additionally tickets will be on sale for the public and the venue will be announced publicly at that time.

Does everyone's guests need a ticket to enter?

Each player is allotted 1 guest for free entry. Any additional guests would need a ticket.

How long will the Tournament take place in each city?

The length of the tournament is based upon how many participants are registered. Additionally, those who win will participate longer than those who are eliminated.

So we're paying for this tournament only get to play for 2 minutes? What if I have an off game?

The first two round are double elimination. So if you lose in the first game, you have time to redeem yourself. Plus, the tournament cost also provides you with 3 months of free video training valued at $450, so it more than covers the cost of entry.

Will there be time to warm up?

Each group of contestants will have a brief amount of time to warm up prior to their playing time.

How will I know what time I am playing?

You'll receive an email closer to the event with these details.

Are referees background checked?

The hiring agency is responsible for background checks.

Should I bring water and snacks?

Yes there will be restrooms in the facility

Are there bleachers/places to sit, or do I need to bring a chair?

Most venue will have a seating area. However, this is not guaranteed so you can bring a chair just in case.

How experienced are the contestants?

Contestants will have varying levels of experience and we are not pre-screening for skill level.

My child has a special need. Can he or she participate?

Absolutely. We embrace and celebrate diversity, ensuring our events are inclusive and accessible to all. If your child has special needs, we would love for them to join in the competition. Please reach out to us in advance here so we can discuss any accommodations they may require to ensure they have a supportive and enjoyable experience at our tournament. Your child's comfort and success are our top priorities.

Are there discounts for multiple registrants?

There are no official discounts, however if you are a coach, school, or a part of a league, contact us and we can potentially make arrangements.
